Hong Kong and holidays!

Went furthest away from home for the first time! 6 days is a bit too long for a holiday, especially with everyday walking from malls to malls. However, i really missed the days once is woke up after a good sleep back home! Perhaps we are still a bit short in terms of budget for such a long trip, if we got more money it would be more fun!

Mapleleaf guesthouse was cheap cheap, $30 a night! The place was really small but a least it has a heater and tv, plus a nice Miss lee which provided us discounted advance tickets! Thanks to her also we do not have to queue for the cable car on day 1. The cable car trip felt something like a kusu island trip. There got sell nice beancurd! Almost like lao ban...but the fishballs sux.

2nd day was victoria peak! riding the tram was normal, just an uphill ride. Then went to madame tussauds museum! Took lot of pictures! The scary trail was not scary at all! No Beckham too :( He apparently "went" on a tour. After which, decided to go on adventure and find jumbo restaurant...managed to find it but the price is a bit high end. We spent 1000HK for dinner but i think its worth it to be emperor for a night!

Blogger upload pics damn slow...continue in the next post...

Hello blog blog!! long time no see. Last paper to go only!! YAY! which means that no exams for a year! woohoo! This sem is just another typical lazy sem...nothin much to think about. Maybe its much easier to think about hong kong.

So many nice movies this sem, and have only watched one. But that one actually caused me to be awake for a number of nights. Recently realised that the soundtracks with the movie rocks too!

Dunno why im in hall now...maybe because i knew that go home will slp and being here would make me feel more settled. Haha, it always the case that u believe ur actions will contribute to the results but more often than not, its not directly related also. It depends on others too, depends on luck, depends on karma also. See, Life is not within your control so why control it?? Just leave it to someone else and think about the things you enjoy, but not the things u worry abt.

October Celebrations were great!! Ate quite a few cakes this month. All plans worked out smoothly...perhaps except for my own study plans! :x

Tutee failed her promos, tried to persuade her to go poly but seems like she's going to remain status quo. Which brings me to something on my mind. People do not like changes, they prefer to remain in their comfort zone since they have been in it for quite some time and probably has started to get used to it. Maybe this is what our stable Singapore has contributed to it? Our life from young to university is almost expected...aces exams, holidays, prepare for next exams again. An element of uncertainty is missing in our life. For example how exciting it would be if Singapore gets flooded like bangkok and we have some disruptions to our life! I think people would think im crazy but im sure we would have an enriching experience of being tgt with our family, trying to escape from the waters. We would have been more adaptable to changes in our life then! Additionally, we could learn to be happy more without the need of achieving something to be happy!

Recess week!

Recess week was kind of gone in a wink. Tried making cupcakes with dear dear on Friday before going to annual dinner. The cupcakes was decent, only a bit too sweet! We should make more flavours like raisin, bananas and chocolate next time! Suddenly i felt im not so bad at baking! haha. Then it was annual dinner, food sux, games sux. The mc kept talking about appreciating volunteers which kinds of pisses me off. Its more like 160 volunteers forced to pay $10 for appreciation and u telling us this shit? its like taking credit for stuff u didn't do. I will never be there if there's no minimum number of tables la.
both orientation was ok. Youth did it for the first time and i must say it was quite successful. few freshies missed it but those who came enjoyed themselves. The games are fresh and the loose schedule, gambling and BBQ made the camp relaxing and interactive. Luckily we decided to stop the confidence challenge halfway when gust of wind blew, it rained like 10 minutes later. Thankfully, we were in chalet by that time.

On the other hand, RSPID orientation was rush and full of games. Seldom got time to play cards, and we spent some time on travelling. It was OVERNIGHT cycling, i personally felt damn shag. The freshies had fright nite before, should be worse for them. The freshies among them was well bonded because of that but support from the seniors was cui ttm. Wonders how v camp would work out but i might be not ard myself at that time.

Toro got a buddy over the weekend! Its called DA TOU!! cos its head is bigger than loser's already big big head! But i still dunno its a gerger or boiboi...but it like deardear! short hand short legs!

Learnt how to make mooncake today! really very easy eh, dunno why outside have to sell $8 for one mooncake...

Just returned from mayday 3D concert, and i dun have the usually music ringing in my ears after concert feeling. it just wasn't the correct atmosphere, and it feels like watching youtube actually. $20 not very worth it. rather save for their next concert. haha

Busy busy week ahead! its difficult not to watch EPL on a weekend! :x

Recently a lot of free activities! Istana, baybeats, museums....how nice if all these were to continue throughout the year. Then the pockets of all bfs in singapore would be fat! Enough spare for investment! haha. Still havent got my trading account leh, but youth have been eating up some of my money so im still a bit short to invest...oh wells.

Meeting up youth freshies later today. There's so many free thursday for them up till end oct. Kind of shiong to conduct something for them every thurs, but i think its neccessary rather than additional. A group with poor bonding would not show their support for anything in the future.

Sch starts with lab! And have to learn how to apply fourier transform to do the lab...lecture today was abt oscillations, and it happened to be what i taught during my tuition for A lvl physics. All taught in 1 hr! stressed!

Last week of vacation was great! not too hectic but fun enough! JB trip was cheap, simple but not very relaxing. We walked quite a bit and carried tidbits ard JB. The dinner was ok but we were suspicious of it being rotten food. Saw very cute cui kia which made noises when hit! Nice to use it to hit someone's head! :)
Universal studios was super worth it with 20% discount! And i got to save on 3 diamonds! where can find such a deal! heehee^^ We started off with a crazy ride called human on Battlestar Galactica. It feels like Genting Spaceshot when it was coming down, deardear got a bit giddy and hence we went ard looking for a gentler ride. Then i saw the jurassic park roller coaster which looks much more friendlier. We decided to ride on it but im wrong! it turns sharply real fast and the worse thing is we were sitting facing back and our legs were dangling in the air. Poor deardear then got really sick after the ride and we sat down somewhere for a rest. The rest of the afternoon was walking ard, taking it slowly, attraction by attraction, and spending the time looking for PANDA! The peck peck was much cuter! who cares abt the fat panda?? haha. then saw fireworks at night! i think its the fourth time i saw fireworks in these 2 months, a bit sianz of it already...

Time flies and seniors are graduating while new grp of freshies coming in soon with recruitment drive looming next wk! hopefully can get enough volunteers! Then can pang kang soon! :)

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

last week to holidays! spent quality time at deardear's hse ytd, just slacking ard :) will not have such liberty when sch starts. haha. next sem is going to be busy with more lab plus tuition!

Went to ndp preview! lots of wayang by the uniformed grps. Same wayang every yr lar, omg. When we go to camp where got so high-tech. The signal set im using has been ard for at least 10 years. But the show segment was interesting though. Shows the stages in which a singaporean grows up in. I think it can relate really well to the crowd rather than previous years theme like culture, our history and propaganda of the PAP in the past. *yawns*

Im really happy to be in Dory for igc. At least theres no hunters in my grp and everyone seems interested in volunteering. RSPHI was the biggest promoter, but u have to understand that they have to do this when they got so many centres around the island. The freshies gel themselves on day3 and that when the seniors start to slack and leave them to interact. My grp have more gals, dunno whether its a blessing but it means that we guys SA get the chance to participate more and be more involved in the group. VH presentation and elders visit was super touching. Song by bene and video tgt never fails. The planning was sucky anyway, lots of last minute changes and waiting time. poor freshies have to blindfold 4hrs for sp initiation.

Holidays seems like it just started! It feels really good to have nothing on your mind, and all u need to think about is what u should do later. Still got 3 weeks to enjoy! Tidy up the room today, and its still not completely tidied. At least it doesnt look so much like a warehouse now!

Harry potter was quite lousy, predictable ending and no much action. transformers was better. Realized today that there is quite a number of things to do in Jurong thru random googling! haha, shall go to these places in the next few weeks! <3

Anyway, teaching tuition was not easy! its challenging to think of how to do and how to explain at the same time. My mind was blank for a number of occasions. On the bright side, i think it will really helps in presentations and in thinking while speaking.

Somehow its great to kao beh abt the same thing with the ppl who is in the same boat.

I just dun understand their logic or wadsoever rationale. To me its just a matter of inefficiency lor.

Ok, at least i got $370 when i come out of this shithole....

in camp -_-~~~

Been 2 fruitless and boring days...more sianzz days to come...

Nothing is related to us and all we here for are to shoot a few targets and walk the 5km in the woods. wad a waste of my vacation...

At least there's sat to look forward to!! :))

going camp!

time flies. it has been a year already and im going to see those few guys again. Hope that this in-camp goes smoothly.

Holidays has been in patches. i dun really have an memory wad i did week or the week before. Its all about living each day as it goes. $$$ still haven't reach me yet. no $$ means no holidays. perhaps life would be better when im out of camp!

Holidays!

Finally a few days to slack at home entirely! These few weeks have been about work and pator-ing...but my $$$ still havent reached my pocket! Feeling damn poor now :( Its best if i try to stay at home as much as possible this month, but i shouldn't waste my holidays like that right?
Camping at ECP for the first time with our new tent! Really romantic atmosphere with so many couple ard hanky-panky. Rented a car for ourselves! This car doesnt look very impressive and indeed its speed is something like a children's bike. However, it is really good for a ride along the beach and some picture snapping along the way!
Then bought dinner from the hawker center! The satay was nice but the rest was so-so. Watched the stars after dinner while waiting for midnight to strike. The sky turned from clear to threateningly cloudy. haha, bad sign for results. This appear not to be the case as i got B- for thermo! and its the first sem i didn't have an C! Also tells me that i should be able to get my second upper if i stop getting Cs! Poor deardear kind of stuck, but means that she could enjoy her last sem in NTU le.

Vertical Marathon last sunday. Same building really spoil the anticipation of climbing stairs, most likely will not join if its the same building or sundown is more attractive. We knew wad is waiting for us at the top, and i didn't have any WOW feeling when i reached the top unlike last yr. I felt we climbed faster than last year maybe because of less rest time at the lower floors, but the official result is not out yet but who cares. Saw westend trainees going for special olympics category, westend volunteers are really committed in going all the way rather than RSPID volunteers who just do what is expected of them. Most of us are struggling to make rspid a part of our life. The rally was one of the most cui one, blk D and rspid seems to have their fortunes changed...no situation will remain forever, there will be ups and downs for every CCA regardless of how powerful the CCA is...

end of exams

Im finally home after bringing all the stuff from hall back! Don't know whether will kena stomp for bringing a pillow and a pail onto the MRT :x

Life is back to normal after today! no more staying up late to study or do tuts! But then once a problem is solved, another comes up. $$ will be the concern from now on. Predict that i will be broke at ard mid june...lets hope im not right!

Missed my 'nice smelling' bed and toro! sleeping at home is always great! At least i would fall asleep faster.

Sunday, April 24, 2011

Star Awards tonight! At least something to look forward to after listening to lectures this afternoon. Sat night was damn sianz, mediacorp getting more and more bullshit. It seems like an international channel, channel 8 showing taiwan and channel U on korean. -_-

Mindef has been contacting me quite often of late. Its really damn irritating, they always like to bomb u with "surprises" during exam period. Now i got recall manning right after exams on 24 may to 7 june, this time confirm will tio, another excuse for me not to find 2 week job during that period...

Friday, April 15, 2011

Blogging at the slackest time of this sem! Friday morning! Things have gone quite well this week, completed lab report with some help and HW210! Deardear's luck also improving, finding her 'long' lost wallet and winning any match she predicted. Youth and Id stopped for exam break, which means its the real exam period now. Maybe to others, the whole sem, or maybe right after recess week is considered exam period, cos they are always equally busy. It really impossible to differentiate their workload before exam and during exam, it seemed equally heavy. But for me its the period after lab, EID, CCAs has ended. More nights and weekends of mugging in school. Thermo is really the killer subject, shall spend more time with it but i cant seemed to understand it like i cant understand girls. :x

Thursday, April 7, 2011

Life has been rather monotonous recently...sleep late, rush for afternoon lecture, finish sch, go home flip notes and realised oh shit, im lagging by half a sem! i think i really should take a short break after my lab report and HW presentation. Break doesnt mean relax...its taking a break from sleeping too much. Maybe go gym, go running, try getting up early to prepare breakfast and skip schooool! so that i would not be so sianz of seeing shafts and alloys. But first, i still got to finish lab report! haizzz....

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Wah! so long never touch this blog le! time to dust off this poor thing! Quiz week ended!!! yay! and im relatively unscathed! target to do up lab report by this friday and continue the momentum of mugging...

Breakup season now...perhaps its the pressure from sch work which made everyone more frustrated to deal with relationship problems. lets count...theres abt 1,2,3,4! so many couples breaking up at one time, and it took a year for 3 couples to form in rspid and none so far in youth! Goes to show that its tough to get together but could be easy for a couple to break! Hopefully mine will stay long and sweet! its not without its problems but which r/s doesn't?

youth elections next week. im seriously not having any hopes on it since last year's disappointment. Just hope that the next person would keep up the cohesion and inject more ideas to spice up the yr ahead. I hate to say this, but frankly i think that rspid comm did not inject new ideas...they were committed to the cause but its like jogging on the same spot.

Someone just didn't understand from my point of view.
It's not simply i didn't trust you,
but can't i trust myself more than you??
I dun know wads pissing you off,
but i rather go to sleep than think about it...

1990's!

Cikgu talking about the games he played when he's young on Monday because of our project about doing anything Malay, including games. Marbles, bola hamtam, glass thread wayang-wayang and five stones seems too old for me. But we do have our own generation of games! Maybe less ingenious but definitely equally exciting!

1. Block Catching
Most of us have played this before, the whole block turned into a maze! Its really fun being a catcher cos u get to run ard, unlike a hider who could only stay at a place and pray that the catcher wouldn't pass by. The structure of the old HDB are different from the ones we have now...there's a staircase in front of every apartment and u could hide on the staircase and no one can see you from the corridor. There's also 2 separate lifts at 2 different parts of the block, which made it more challenging. I can still rmb vividly the adrenaline rush when catcher bump into the hider, both will run like no tomorrow and jumping down the flight of stairs, literally! we dun walk down it, i can jump 8 steps at one go...reaching the ground floor would take only 30secs. In order to escape successfully, either pray that the catcher is breathless, the lift door closes just before the catcher managed to open it or hide somewhere intelligently without the catcher knowledge.

2.Playground catching
Same concept, except now is more of running instead of hiding. Frequent injuries will result from it. The younger boys always get bullied in this game...well, too bad! You have to grow up anyway! ;>

3. Go-li
Ours is a varied version, theres no large white marble as they are difficult to purchase. I rmb buying a few at a minimart in teck whye and treated them like gems. The objective is to hit the glass marbles out of the box with your own. Everyone first contributed 1 marble in the box, then the game starts and if you successfully knock the marble out of the box and your hitting marble didnt remain in the box, u took both! if any one lands in the box, GAME OVER...your marble is stuck in the box for others to claim. Marbles cost $0.20 for 5 at that time and we were super happy winning a few for that day. Its certainly a good social game, i made lots of friends playing this.

4. Styrofoam planes
These planes can be easily bought from minimarts, ranging from $0.50 to $3.00 depending on the quality. We also made some alterations to it, like cut and fold, hopefully to make it fly better. We got tired of flying it in the corridor, so we went up to the 12th(highest) floor and flew it down! The plane could fly quite a distance and sometimes the unfortunate plane made it to the road! Kena flattened of cos. Some of them had rotating blades in front but i rmb the best plane doesn't have one and is blue in colour, a japanese fighter plane. Its not easy to buy a good plane...the kids know the goods and the best ones would get sold faster, leaving behind the CUI planes.

5.Bicycle Racing
This is simply racing with bicycles! It evolved from racing at the corridor to racing circuit below our blocks. Its close to F1, the circuit has slopes and there are parts of it which is easier to overtake. Of course, there's obstacles which are the pedestrians. This activity is dangerous as a slip or collision would result in serious wounds due to the high speed nature. Never see kids playing this now, i think their parents would most likely screw their kids upside down when they see the injury. My mum just shake her head when she saw mine :)

6. RC car racing
Another racing event, but much safer. It started when RC cars are super hot and almost everyone have one! Its not cheap though, mine costs $40 and its considered low budget. RC cars now costs $20 and no one is buying it...

7. PS1 and arcades
Starting to have more pocket $$! Able to invest on PS1 and play arcade games at home! 1990s classics have Marvel vs Capcom series, DDR, Metal Slug, time crisis...hours of fun with it and best of all, the games are real cheap(u know wad i mean). PS1 attracts my neighbours to my house until my mum had to chase them away. Arcades at that time were also crowded with ppl. I went there almost every week and had to lie to my parents im doing project at cck library with my classmates. HeeHee. Daytona and the fighting video machines are everybody's favourite. You could see people crowding around a video game watching the guy play.

8.PC games
This electronic gadget changes a generation of leisure. Gone are toys, games and playgrounds. In comes Red alert, Need for speed 2, IRC, the sims and Neopets! Even today kids are still obsessed with this gadget. My cousins are fighting for it when they come to my house on cny. My first pc was an acer and it has 56k dial-up with limited 25hrs of internet!

9.Digimon and Proyo's
The craze for gadgets started around the late 1990's. Parents were forced to buy one for their kids if not their kids would miss out on what their friends are talking about. I had D1 and D2 cos the latest versions were more expensive and came at a later time. Cheat code were made by using plastic farecard strips to screw up the electronic board and voila! A teddy-mon appears on the screen! D6 had a rather stupid device which requires users to shake the gadget. 1 shake is 1 step and the more u shake the faster it would grow...i tot its pretty dumb!

10.Pokemon Cards
Who could forget Pikachu? I still regret on spending my pocket $$ on these cards. The starter pack costs $70 and the booster costs $5 for like 7? The card shop at CCK MRT station is always full of traders who are students. The foil cards like Charlizard were super rare and going for $25 a piece. I think my best foil card is butterfree, no luck in getting the big 3.

Teck Whye estate is really a great kampong to live in. I would not have experience so much if i stayed in Choa Chu Kang. Teck Whye was supposed to be a temporary living place as my parents were eying for a flat in Sembawang. Think Teck Whye is one of the last "kampongs" in Sg. Nowadays people stayed in their flats and closed their doors. The only "door" which is opened is MSN...applies to me also.

Sidetrack, Cikgu mentioned that he heard a pontian** when little, and said that it sounded exactly like a duck. Beware if you heard a duck quacking, DO NOT TURN AROUND!

wk 5...

Seems like i only blog when im in sch library...haha. skipped hmm2 for ST recruitment talk later...felt a bit guilty as i should be skipping the recruitment talk for hmm2. only 5 weeks and i had skipped 2 lessons. Projects are starting to run this week, with EID reports starting work and HW210 experiment starting. Lab project is gonna start next wk and omg....there's quiz on wk 7 :x Earned a dinner from someone today! coz im a guai guai kid who comes to sch!

V-day surprise failed. Got counter by gf who wants to give me surprise. Should had guessed she was coming over to find me, maybe im too bothered by wad im going to do. Give each other handmade presents, none of it was too expensive but its personal and romantic! I felt the process of making handmade gifts for loved ones is a good reflection of the relationship so far, and that wad vday is all about...reflecting and appreciating. Dinner at bakerzin. Even though we beat the queue, we couldn't beat the kitchen! The chef was taking hours to cook the dish. Every restaurant was accompanied by queues of couples! But seriously, i felt the dinner was nothing different from dinner on other days, it still the same loving company. Then took polaroid at Deardear's void deck, forgot to took it during dinner. Just nice igc sold some polaroid picture holder and brought 2! Now She's beside me everyday!

Youth session was great! Everyone contributed to the success of it. Im still proud that we could do it without planning...haha. who said meetings are impt. As long as everyone in the grp is willing to make some effort towards the cause, the session would run. the boys looked like they enjoyed the challenges as well as the prizes of coz. But they were also sporty when they were asked to do forfeit :) Felt relieved as my workloads for RSPID and youth are minimised! now only attend session nia.

Watched black swan on Friday...not as chim as expected and could understand it. But i still felt watch too much of those would make u more negative. Sleague action at night, teams are disappointing me this weekend, Tampines and Man u...argghhh. Irritating to watch them lose my money without making an effort.

No more holidays!

25 angpaos this year...i really wonder where all the ang paos come from...didnt remember getting so much in previous years :)

Went bai nian with deardear today! a bit bored at the house as there's nothing to do except to watch tv...no gambling! then nice gf wander ard plaza sing with me for a while before going for her steamboat while i wait for kheng wee. So long never see that guy, becomes more weird again. dinner was treated by him, rich guy, dunno wads hes doing to become so rich. Went bowling since he said he found a new interest in it. lost the first round but won the second and third round! seldom i've got the opportunity to win in bowling! passed 100points for the first time. Got to know that the scores for the bowl after a strike is doubled. Didnt know how the scores are tabulated before.

Ytd was par tor day at chun dao he pan. Nice decors but not really a lot of booths for the carnival. Didn't strike any bell for the wishing well :( Think this year is the year to stay low for gambling, not winning all my bets so far (except for the bet with zhenjie whose luck was worst than mine currently!, all kelong scorelines lost, didnt win his winning bet, his bro didnt buy that for him!) took pictures with dragons and pigs! oh ya, also learnt wads the shoot dragon game about...it really depends on luck and not skill, and its not the game suitable for me right now! haha. Caused deardear's bro to got a hat-tricks of 10tokens...

This week would be busy! with school and work coming together...at least have some money to spare next month :)

Cny!

Worst cny eve i've had for years...no going out is fine, but no tv at 10pm and miss the countdown is not! so only have computer as entertainment and caught the fireworks in johor from room window. This year seems to have more fireworks, and the fireworks always made me reflect on the past year.

Day 1 was slacking at home and wait for people to come, and entertain the kids once they came. kids nowadays are computer freaks! All have facebook accounts and they will glued to the computer play fb games for hours. My house only have 2 so the rest have to make do with big2 and uno. Played 3hours of it-_-. Without gambling! seems that all dun have the habit of gambling in front of their parents and i dun want to be the bad influence to them. Wanted to change the game to monopoly deal but no one knows how to play, so have to stick to the traditional games.

Da Shi Jie at night! papa is so kan chiong to watch the movie that we went half an hour earlier. He wanted to go into the theatre thinking that the theatre would be waiting for him but the theatre was still showin the previous movie. and he still took out his touch and shine on the floor to find his way! lol. uncles are impatient! The movie was singaporean to me, rojak. Got 4 storyline so that the movie would be worth it, but the storyline are too simple that it seems to be more suitable for tv. Just story-telling, wedding dinner is wedding dinner, wooing is wooing. The props are good though, should have spent quite a lot on it. Nostalgia for my parents, but not me. Maybe next time can have movie on national stadium.

new term...

waiting for the guys to finish meeting, im done for the week! Surf net until nothing to do, so might as well blog something. First week is slack as usual...but the prob is still waking up for 8.30am lectures. Dropped genetics after much advices from sbs ppl, so now have to do living with maths and hope that i can really live with it. :/ Went for GIP talk ytd and was talked into going overseas to work...sounds fun cos i didnt went overseas for a long period before unlike the poly graduates. but theres still a lot to consider for...$$, youth, homesickness and all that. Shall wait for a later date then register...

End of holidays! :(

So fast going back to lectures again! Just went to cousin' wedding...super simple! too simple to my liking. There's no entertainment, no singing, no slideshow or buddies sabo-ing the couple to french kiss. Lucky deardear is there to entertain me...if not i will go bored to death. Thank you!

This holiday passes real fast with 3 main events: Youth camp, Genting trip and V-camp. All events are memorable! first youth camp with rsp youth, first overseas trip alone with deardear and first camp planned by rspid freshies!

But the target of getting gold for ippt didnt happened...too little time to train...lesser time when lectures start. Will have less time to meet deardear when sch starts! No more melayu! Dinner? mugging sessions? Shall sleep now, wake up to a cannot slack day.

Nite Cycling!

A nite filled with tiredness and gossip. Nite cycling was initiated by zhenjie and meixiu. Didnt get too many ppl out...maybe bcos we knew most of them could not overnight or its inconvenient for too many ppl to cycle in a grp. We traveled from bukit timah to newton food centre, after which we went separate ways home. Most of the time is spent gossiping about youth at newton's food centre...not going to share!

Zhenjie and zhengxin was looking around to buy food, and they bought their carrot cakes from the same stall, one white and one black. Im sure its due to the Good Food recommendations which attracted them. Our block head running out of luck! Firstly the front wheel punctured, then the rubber tube came out until it could not even turn! Time to do some good deeds!

Pictures below!

2011!!

First post in this year! Great Countdown to this yr with deardear but all the pictures are wif her. no pics to show...talking bout pics, my bro reformat the pc and now all my pics are gone! Luckily she has a copy. I need a hard drive! Countdown was nice with David tao and Sylvester sim, but the afterparty was not high enough. Outdoor clubbing doesn't work. Then didnt really know wad to do and as usual end up at my house.

Just finished packing my room as well as clearing the stuff for sem 1 10/11. Its seems strange that they are history now, they still seems quite new to me...shows that i didnt study much :x Played with STARS too in the afternoon, and find that its going to be difficult to keep friday free. :( if i keep friday free, i dun need to clear electives le. Still dunno wad elective to take. Bio? Too heavy workload. Maths? A lot of proving. Physics? Not enough of it meh?all my core are phys...duh. Still got time to think over.

Youth camp was great! blogged it on the youth blog liao, shall just copy and paste :)

"This camp is certainly one of the most memorable camp in my life...hopefully it feels the same way to the boys. Tiger started on a losing streak in captain's ball, including a 5-2 trashing by rooney. Its kind of demoralizing for everyone, including me as i missed a couple of catches due to the light rubber ball being used. Then it was hard for the GLs to get everyone to play for volleyball as the boys were starting to gave up. Kudos to nat and nicole, we managed to field in enough players and started winning by starting with trademark free-kicks from Edwin! The team started to believe in themselves but the morale was again damped when they finished last in the cheer fight, which i think they certainly do not deserve to. The GLs then wrote short memos of encouragement to each tiger warrior at the end of day 1, hoping to up their morale after a roller coaster day.

Day 2 started with a bang! Great teamwork and running shown by Tiger warriors won us the 2 games of frisbee! Then the winning streak continues in soccer with a win and a draw. Morale is high but luck was not on our side for dirty games, 3 warriors refused to get themselves dirty so the GLs had to play. However, by tug-o-war, we are able to finally field a full team which was so heartening to see! Even the laziest warrior in our group volunteered to be the last person and contributed greatly to our win in tug-o-war! K-pop dance wrapped up a great day for Tiger as i felt the boys did really well and overcome their stage fright! The boys cooperated well in the trainings which make it quite easy for us to teach the dance.

I would like to thank fellow leaders from tiger group! Nicole for your passion in k-pop which certainly improved our performance! Also for leading Clap your hands, you did great despite of your stage fright! haha. Natalie for your sportiness in playing the games! You didn't mind getting dirty which is so noble for a girl. Thanks and sorry to both of you in blocking the shots in the soccer game! Haha! You both did a good job. And also your constant motivation to our group! With all your enthu cheering and initiative in getting the boys together as a team. Without you girls, i think it would be much harder for us to get through the first day. OH, hope you all didnt just rmb me doing seaweed..."

Going cycling later......more exercise this vacation!"
